About Princeton Pong
Princeton Pong is a full-time, professionally run table tennis club dedicated to high-quality
training, leagues, events, and community engagement. We serve competitive players,
recreational members, juniors, and families in a structured, energetic environment.
We are seeking a highly organized, people-oriented Assistant General Manager (AGM) to help
oversee daily operations, deliver an exceptional member experience, and support the growth of
the club.
Position Overview
The Assistant General Manager is a key member of the club. This role ensures that day-to-day
activities run smoothly, staff are supported, members are happy, and programs execute at a
high level. This is a hands-on leadership position requiring strong communication skills, operational
discipline, and a passion for creating a welcoming and professional sports environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Club Operations
● Oversee daily opening and closing procedures
● Ensure facility cleanliness, equipment readiness, and safety standards
● Manage court scheduling and space utilization
● Handle member check-ins and customer service issues
● Maintain inventory of balls, barriers, cleaning supplies, etc.
2. Staff Coordination
● Assist with scheduling front desk staff and coaches
● Help onboard and train new employees
● Serve as point person during GM’s absence
● Support performance management and culture building
3. Program Execution
● Coordinate leagues, tournaments, and special events
● Support junior programs and camps logistics
● Ensure league nights and rating events run efficiently
● Assist with event registration, bracketing, and communications
4. Member Experience
● Build strong relationships with members
● Address concerns quickly and professionally
● Help retain members through engagement and communication
● Support membership sales and renewals
5. Administrative Support
● Track attendance and basic reporting metrics
● Assist with billing and membership management systems
● Help manage CRM/email communications
● Support marketing initiatives and promotions
Ideal Candidate Profile
Required
● 2+ years experience in operations, hospitality, sports management, or similar
● Strong organizational and multitasking skills
● Excellent written and verbal communication
● Comfortable working evenings and weekends
● High attention to detail and reliability
Preferred
● Experience in a sports club, fitness facility, or community organization
● Table tennis knowledge (competitive background a plus, not required)
● Experience running tournaments or league play
● Basic familiarity with scheduling or membership software
